Looking for a Cloudflare alternative: an honest comparison

We made one decision before writing this page: we are not going to run Cloudflare down. They operate one of the largest networks on earth, their free plan is remarkably generous, and for most websites they are simply the right answer. If you are here looking for an alternative, you probably have a specific reason — this page is about which of those reasons we are a genuinely better fit for, and which ones we are not.

When you should stay on Cloudflare

If any of these describe you, our honest advice is to stay where you are:

• You have a global audience and latency matters. They have points of presence in dozens of countries; our node count is not remotely comparable. If your visitors are spread worldwide, their content arrives faster.
• You expect attacks above 2 Tbit/s.This scale is genuinely rare. The largest known attacks are bursts measured in seconds, and almost all of them were aimed at global infrastructure providers: 31.4 Tbit/s (Cloudflare, Q4 2025, lasting 35 seconds), 29.7 Tbit/s (Q3 2025), 11.5 Tbit/s (September 2025), 7.3 Tbit/s (May 2025), 3.47 Tbit/s (Azure, 2021). An ordinary commercial site being targeted at that scale is not something seen in practice; we set the threshold here to point you to the right place. At that scale you want published capacity figures and a financially backed SLA; their enterprise plans have both, and we do not.
• You use their ecosystem. Workers, R2, Zero Trust, image optimisation — we have no equivalent. We are a DNS and protection provider, not a platform.
• The free plan already covers you. If it does, there is no reason to pay anyone.

Your industry is not accepted

Large providers exclude whole sectors through their acceptable use policies, and that decision is commercial and legal rather than technical. If you operate in a sector considered high-risk, your application may be declined — or your account closed months later. We accept these businesses, and you do not need to sit through a review process to sign up.

You are under terabit-scale attack

In August 2026, customer addresses behind our infrastructure took a sustained attack that exceeded 1 Tbit/s and ran for days. The sites stayed up: load average on our edge sat at 0.00, the connection table never reached even a ten-thousandth of its ceiling, and our availability checks came back with no loss.

We are not claiming one box did that — protection is layered: volume is absorbed at the network layer, and whatever leaks through is dropped by our own edge filters. In that same incident, our filters alone dropped more than 1.5 TB. The point is this: we can talk about capacity with incident records rather than marketing copy. If you are under attack, ask and we will share the numbers.

Shared IPs are a problem for you

On free and entry-level plans, addresses are shared between customers. If a site sharing your address attracts a heavy attack or lands on a reputation list, you feel it too. Our plans include a dedicated address: it is yours, and you have no neighbours on it.

You need to reach a person during an attack

On free and entry tiers, support is largely documentation and community forums. For a business whose site is down right now, that is not enough. You reach us directly on Telegram, and the person answering built the system.

You want DNS and protection in one place

Ours live in a single panel. During an attack, changing a record, moving between nodes or toggling the proxy happens on one screen and propagates in seconds.

You want support in Turkish

Panel, documentation and support are available in Turkish. It sounds like a small detail. During an incident it is not.

How does the migration work?
